Design a monster, machine or weapon from your dream video game in this 1-day workshop.
John will demonstrate each step of designing a monster and then guide you through the process. This will be a rare opportunity to learn from John's 20+ years of experience in the entertainment industry as he shares practical tips and career insights.
A portfolio review is included in this workshop.
In this workshop, students will create the following:
Medium: Digital or traditional, it's up to you. John will do the assignment as well. He will be painting in acrylic.

John Mueller is an award-winning author, illustrator, and art director whose career has spanned over 20 years across such IP's as Swamp Thing, Judge Dredd, Star Trek, The Crow, Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, Unreal Warfare, Sin, Heavy Metal, Reloaded, The Spectre, Forgotten Realms, Wrath & Skeller, Johnny Whatever, Tabula Rasa, Darksiders 2, and Warhammer 40,000 MMO, Dark Millennium.
John is the creator of OINK, a critically acclaimed graphic novel originally published in 1995 which he began in college as a student of Jim Auckland. John digitally remastered the book and funded a new self-published edition via Kickstarter in 2015. He was a co-founder of Skyshine Games, an indie studio that created BEDLAM, a post-apocalyptic rogue-like, turn based strategy game. This project was also funded by another successful Kickstarter campaign.
John is currently Art Director at Blizzard Entertainment.
